This article was published on HeatWorld The article is talking about Lagi Demetriou who reprtedly has 50,000 worth of concentarted cannabis stashed in an apartment he bought with money from Britains Got Talent in London. The article was published on the 6th March and has been one of the main headlines on digital news papers. The fourth pagaragraph states that "fire fighters discovered a watering system for the cannabis plants after being called to the property last Tuesday, when neighbours expressed concerns about a leak then the police was informed." The purpose of the article is to inform their C2DE audience about the arrest made as it would come to quite a shock to the public as they still see him as the 13 year old Lagi. The mode of address in this article is informal as the structure of the paragraphs are short and dont contain alot of elaborate coding. It is beneficial using different platforms or news distribution because you get a wide range of stories about the same subject. It is good reading news on the web because you can comment on it and read what other people have said about it so is an advantage to the audience. The TV is useful to the audience because you can listen to how he news presenters are presenting he news to see how they represent different people and call tell if they say something about someone in a jokingly manner but if you were to read it online you might know it was a joke. All different news websites etc. cover a range of news and focus on what their target audience would like so ok magazine for example focus on gossip as their mode of address is peer to peer they use informal language.
