LO4: Regulation
My article will be published in a magazine about health, so I will need to follow the editor’s code of practice. The first editor’s code of practice what would need to be regulated when reading through my article would be ‘Accuracy’ I need to make sure all information given in the article is accurate as I got information from how yoga helps our body from a survey it should all be quite accurate, as the people who participated in the yoga survey will know what it does. They get the information either from the internet of their yoga teacher etc. who have studied on what yoga does to help your body. I also got information from websites on where it was originated from http://www.tibetanlife.com/where-did-yoga-originate.html I had to make sure I mention that there is no hard evidence as it is impossible to find out exactly when yoga came into place.
The second regulation would be 'Privacy' because I need to make sure no information about Lydia’s social life has been published unless she has said it can be herself, however as it was an interview with Lydia in my article everything is her own words and I haven’t changed anything to make it more appropriate for an article therefore I won’t break this rule as she allowed me to publish the article as I asked her via email for it to be published
In my article I got information from a couple websites which anyone would be able to access therefore the audience can access them to see if the information given was misleading in any way, therefore I would need to follow the Confidential sources in the Editors code of practice what I would need to oblige to for my magazine to be published
