It is beneficial using different platforms or news distribution because you get a wide range of stories about the same subject. It is good reading news on the web because you can comment on it and read what other people have said about it so is an advantage to the audience. The TV is useful to the audience because you can listen to how he news presenters are presenting he news to see how they represent different people and call tell if they say something about someone in a jokingly manner but if you were to read it online you might know it was a joke. All different news websites etc. cover a range of news and focus on what their target audience would like so ok magazine for example focus on gossip as their mode of address is peer to peer they use informal language. News agencies were created with a single aim to enrich the newspapers with a wide variety of news events happening around the world. Initially the agencies were meant to provide the news items only to the newspapers...

I have made a survey using survey monkey to get answers for my article, I then sent it to my yoga teacher who suggested putting it on her facebook wall for her friends to complete and I got 29 responses which has been very helpful. I didnt have any problems doing this because I sent my survey to three people at first who teach yoga and I aksed them to help me by sending it to anyone they know who also participates in yoga

The article I have chosen is about health. I have chosen to write about this topic because i think it is interesting learning about how to keep healthy etc. I am going to be talking about yoga in the form of health as it keeps your mind and body calm. To access sources I am going to meet with the woman who runs alot of different types of yoga classes for a variety of people, so i will interview her getting types of information what could help with my article. Questions for my interview What are the health benefits of yoga? Has yoga changed your life, if so how? What is the hardest pose you can do? Is yoga for everyone? Do you have to be flexible to do yoga? How is yoga different from stretching? How long do you do yoga for? What made you start doing yoga? What advice would you give for beginners? LO3: Evaluating Research Techniques

Evaluating  sources and information Reliability (e.g use of field experts, first hand eye-witnesses, authority- official v sbordinate, use of primary and secondary definers) Relevance Accuracy( cross referencing) Validty Accessibility Quality Cost effective

LO3: Secondary Research Techniques

Secondary Research Researching the internet Newspapers/ Magazines Taking information from other webpages Books/ Journals- language barriers State research papers(government stats)- manipulated TV documentaries/films Social media- existing comments biased Advantages of using the internet to access research is that its free and quicker to access, however a weakness is that it could be false information. An advantage of using newspapers and magazines to collect secondary  research is that its easy to find, however a disadvantage is that its not always a trustworthy source depending on what company it is so could be biased. TV documentaries are good for accessing information because usually its always true as the facts and figures cant be changed like they can on the internet, however a disadvantage is that it could be less credable and it is made to make money
